ROI vs annualized ROI
A 50% total ROI sounds great, but if it took ten years it’s mediocre. Annualized ROI converts the total return into a yearly rate so you can compare investments of different lengths fairly. This calculator shows both.
What’s a good ROI?
It depends on risk. The stock market has historically returned around 7–10% annualized. If an investment beats that consistently for similar risk, it’s doing well. Use the annualized figure to compare apples to apples.
